Q&A Issues: Voting not working, Images not showing in certain browsers

Hi there,
I tried to find a solution in your forums but was not able to...my site: http://bananalust.com/questions/
In Firefox and Google Chrome voting seems to not be working and I don't even see the arrow images showing up...in IE the images show up but I can't vote.
I've tried logging in both as a super admin and as a regular user (using a second account). I've also deactivated bbPress, Facebook connect and paid memberships pro to see if that somehow had something to do with it. I'd really like a solution for this since it is hard to skin without the functionality working. Also I completely uninstalled the q&a plugin and then reinstalled and no change.
Thanks very much for your suggestions and help,
Leah

    I was just going to post and say that I deactivated everything and it seems to be a theme issue. I realize that is not your fault but it would still be great if you could give me some guidance here.
    I also deactivated all the theme css and no change so I am pretty sure it is a javascript related issue. I noticed that your file init.js seems to load before my theme's jquery. Would you have a look at the source code. Do you think it is just a matter of changing where the init.js script loads? if so how to do that?
    Thanks much,
    Leah

    After wasting A LOT of time doing a bunch of convoluted maneuvers such as removing js scripts etc...I finally figured out why the images were not showing up in Chrome or Firefox.

    It is because your source code was incorrect. Multiple people seem to have had issues with the voting and I wonder why this was not corrected earlier.

    Look in the default-templates/css/general.css

    and you will see that the images are surrounded in quotes when they should not be.

    Please correct this code so people don't continue downloading it. I'll check back in a day to see if you did.

    .vote-accepted-on {
    	border: 0;
    	background-color: #fff !important;
    	background-image: url("../img/vote.png") !important;
    	background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	text-indent: -9999em;
    	margin: 0 auto;
    	cursor: pointer;
    }
    input[type=submit].vote-accepted-off,
    input[type=submit].vote-accepted-on,
    .vote-accepted-on {
    	background-image: url("../img/accept.png") !important;
    	display: block;
    	height: 40px !important;
    	width: 39px !important;
    }

    should be background-image: url(../img/accept.png) !important; NO QUOTES

    Thank you for your explanation. When you removed the quote, did it work for you? I don't think so

    and you will see that the images are surrounded in quotes when they should not be.

    I am sorry to say that this is wrong. Please don't take my word offensive, but you can use quote even either a single or a double quote. You can take a look at http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp Also I have attached a screenshot. I have created a fiddle for you too: http://jsfiddle.net/aknath707/8rRDK/

    Even, I looked in your theme css: http://bananalust.com/wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/style.css . I am wondered why all css for QA is pasted in your theme css? Did you do it on purpose? Or for any specific reason? Would you please delete QA related css from your theme and check again?

    Please let me know, I am here to help.

    Cheers
    Ash
