    hiya

    you will need to copy the qa templates into your current theme folder and add the sidebar code to them.

    plugins/qa/default-templates/

    just copy the files you want out of there into themes/yourtheme/

    then edit the files to add the sidebars

    <?php get_sidebar('sidebar'); ?>

    is what to look for or similar (depending on your theme)

    hope this helps.

    i am using your theme (WPMU- buddy press social) . Tried your suggesions several times but it does not work...

    added the code: <?php get_sidebar('sidebar'); ?> on all the default templates from QA folder and loaded them to the buddypress social theme folder..no difference at all..same results...the sidebars appear at the bottom of the qna. Any suggestions?

    hiya

    sorry for the delay,

    i see you have 1 sidebar on the right of your questions page.

    i'm not sure what you are asking in your original question. do you also want a sidebar on the left too?

    to add a left sidebar you will need to add this to your templates. right after the <?php get_header( 'question' ); ?>

    so it looks like

    <?php get_header( 'question' ); ?>
    <?php get_sidebar('left'); ?>

    the above will add the sidebar-left to the questions page.

    then you will need to adjust all the widths in the settings because the center content will be set too wide which will push the right sidebar down to the bottom. your CSS will need a lot of adjustment for this because it's not actually designed for 3 columns.

    hope this helps
