Recent Global Posts Feed Docs Out of Date

The docs for the Recent Global Posts Feed plugin are out of date and it looks like there's a part of the out of date plugin still in the folder ... any help appreciated.

I believe @robot1388 is referring to:

    1. The recent-global-posts-feed.php file is included in the plugin folder.

This is the legacy feed script that had to be placed in wp-content/ to work. I just confirmed that it still validates and functions properly. This is a good thing, because many users, like us, may be using that feed url for various purposes. That is likely why it is still being included.

    2. The docs still include directions for the legacy feed method.

There is no mention of installing the new version in plugins/ and network activating it as usual. In fact, it says:

    Upload recent-global-posts-feed.php to /wp-content/

Most plugins are uploaded to /wp-content/plugins/.
This plugin MUST be uploaded to /wp-content/ using FTP.

    Hence the confusion.

I just networked activated Recent Global Posts Feed from the network/plugins page, and confirmed that feed validates and works too. Another good thing.

The docs need to be updated to reflect the new installation/activation procedure for a fresh install, and mention use of the legacy file if you want the existing Recent Posts feed to work.

    Hope this helps!
