Redirect plug in creating huge database

"Redirect is creating a wpbn_redirection_404 table in the database, putting us over our limit. It appears this is mostly a log file (with lots from bots). Is it safe to empty this file? Ran "Advanced Database" to clean and optomize files, but it did not touch this one?

    Hi Debby,

Hope you are doing good today.

The mentioned table is created by the Redirection plugin, and not part of WordPress core tables:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/

Since it's a 3rd party plugin it's tough to say whether it would cause any issue, or not. Since it's only logs, emptying the table shouldn't be causing an issue.

If you don't use the mentioned plugin, then you can delete the table. If you still make use of it, then setting "Log Expiry" in the plugin side should help in emptying the table via the plugin side.

Please check their doc on how to set Log Expiry:
    https://redirection.me/support/options/

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further query, have a nice day ahead.

    Regards,
    Nithin
