Remember me plugin redirect to page

Hi there,

Is it possible to re-direct a user to a certain page if they are logged and using the remember me plugin? Ideally logged in users would bypass the homepage and be moved to their buddypress landing page.

    Hi Michelle,

    Hope you're well?

This isn't as easy as you might think, as there isn't anything stored in the DB for the user, the remember me simply extends the expiry date of the auth cookie when a user logs in, these cookies are stored on the users computer.

We can validate that the cookie is valid, but I don't know of any way of actually getting the expired value from it. I've been looking into this and I can't figure out a way of getting the value.

I might be able to come up with a solution, but may take me a little time, so would have to get back to you on that,

However it is possible to redirect all users on login regardless.

    You can use pete's login_redirect plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/peters-login-redirect/

This would allow you to set a login url, and you can customize it by adding the username into the URL so it create a dynamic URL based on their username.

If you wish to use that, it would be much easier, but if you still want me to look into trying with checking whether they use remember_me, it could take a while longer.

    Hope this helps
