Remove sidebar from coursepress theme

Hi,

I'd like to remove the wp sidebar from unit and course pages.

Could you point me to the correct code to remove in your theme?
I've only been able to find "<?php //get_sidebar( 'footer' ); ?>" in
single-course.php but removing it makes no difference.

Many thanks,

Michael

    Hi there @michael9999

Welcome to the forums, glad to have you aboard!

By default, the sidebar does only displays on the Courses archive page: domain.com/courses
There should be no sidebar visible on the individual course or unit pages.

Also, would you please update your install of CoursePress to the latest version (1.2.2.2)? The one you are running now (1.0.9) is outdated and there have been numerous bugfixes since.

    Hello @michael9999

I hope you are well today.

It seems to me that you want to disable the side bar on the CoursePress theme?

    However .

Assuming this is absolutely what you want to do, however I would not recommend it as it could eventually cause some other unexpected issues, keep in mind that you can also use CoursePress Pro with any well coded theme you like, you need to also comment out the sidebar call as you mentioned in your OP.

    Like this <?php //get_sidebar( 'footer' ); ?>
    Or this <?php //get_sidebar(); ?>

    In some other files in:
    /plugins//coursepress/themes/coursepress/
    Among which are:
    home.php
    page.php
    single.php

There might be some other ones, but I recommend your start with those and see how it comes out.

Let me know how it's working.

    Best regards,
    Andre
