Remove update plugin notification

This is really irritating. How do I get rid of it?

    @daveh why would you it tells you to update you plugs and teams and ever now and again you get a notice of new toys for you site :slight_smile:

    This required plugin lets you know when your WPMU DEV plugins and themes need to be updated, and even allows you to auto-update them... critical for security and functionality!

    I would not remove it just edit some of the setting so you dont see it
    http://bloglines.co.za/wp-admin/network/update-core.php?page=wpmudev&action=update

    Then look for and turn off what you dont want.

    Admin Notices

    Note: Notices are only displayed to site Administrators (Super-Admins in Multisite installs). Full current WPMU DEV members can permanently disable all admin notices, though individual notices can always be dismissed by any admin.

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks but you misunderstand my intentions. I have a lot of sites, and am currently setting up some with the WPMU cart - so I am experimenting with it and other cart plugins.

    These aren't sites I want to keep, so I don't want to spend time installing the other plugin, etc. when I am just going to be flipping it around to try something else. I would rather not deal with it and also not look at the notification.

    Also (I could be wrong about this) it is my understanding that too many plugins slow down site speed - so for "keeper" sites/configurations, I like to eliminate as many as I can.

    Anyway, I have no complaint with the idea behind the plugin - I would just rather not use it. Thank you so much for the replies.

    Here's a code that can remove it:

    <?php
    /*
    Plugin Name: Remove WPMU Notification Plugin Nag
    Plugin URI: http://wp.me/p1Aj2B-6g
    Description: WPMU started trying to force people that use plugins by their developers to install a Notification plugin by making a persistent notification bug the admins. This removes that annoying piece.
    Version: 1.0
    Author: Trae Blain
    Author URI: http://traeblain.com
    License: GPL2
    */

    if ( function_exists( 'wdp_un_check' ) ) {
      remove_action( 'admin_notices', 'wdp_un_check', 5 );
      remove_action( 'network_admin_notices', 'wdp_un_check', 5 );
    }
    ?>

    1.) COPY AND PASTE IT IN A NOTEPAD THEN SAVE IT USING THIS FILENAME:
    tmb-wpmu-nag-remove.php

    2.) Upload it on the plugins folder then activate it. Works on most themes.

Thank NAME, for their help.
