Removing wpmudev link from theme footer

How do I remove the wpmudev link from the theme footer? How do I change the wording on the default copyright notice in the footer?

    Hi there!

    Open up the theme and go to library --> components --> option-footerlinks.php

    Change this code

    <!-- Footer Links : set in theme options -->
    <?php
    	$holder_buddypress_footerlinks = get_option('dev_holder_buddypress_footerlinks');
    	if (trim($holder_buddypress_footerlinks) == ""){
    		?>
    		<a href="https://premium.wpmudev.org/themes/" title="<?php _e( 'WordPress Plugins, Themes and Support', 'holder_buddypress' )?>" ><?php _e( 'WPMU DEV - The WordPress Experts', 'holder_buddypress' ) ?></a><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>"><?php _e( 'Copyright', 'holder_buddypress' ) ?> &copy;<?php echo gmdate(__('Y')); ?> <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a><a href="#site-wrapper"><?php _e('Go back to top &uarr;', 'holder_buddypress'); ?></a>
    		<?php
    	}
    	else{
    		echo stripslashes($holder_buddypress_footerlinks);
    	}
    ?>

    Please note that you can't do this from the Wordpress admin area, either you FTP and edit the file or file manager in your hosting control panel (cPanel or other)

    Hope this helps!

    Kind Regards
    Jack (Coding-Monkey).

    Hiya,

    Jacks provided one great way of doing this, but the theme has an option for adding custom footer links. Just navigate to Appearance>Holder Options and scroll down to the bottom of this first tab. Adding your own links to the "footer links" section will override the default ones.

    Hope this helps. Let us know if you need anything further!

    Hey there.

    Might be best to start a new thread next time, this will ensure we don't miss it.

    Anyway, open up the following:

    /network/footer.php

    And find this line:

    <div id="footer" class="copyright"><p><a href="https://premium.wpmudev.org/themes/" title="<?php _e( 'WordPress Plugins, Themes and Support', 'network' )?>" ><?php _e( 'WPMU DEV - The WordPress Experts', 'network' ) ?></a><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>"><?php _e( 'Copyright', 'network' ) ?> &copy;<?php echo gmdate(__('Y')); ?> <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a><a href="#site-wrapper"><?php _e('Go back to top &uarr;', 'network'); ?></a></p></div>

    Thats the code you will want to edit the links on.

    Hope this helps.
