Replying to CoursePress Discussions (Instructors)

I am working on setting up a new course using the CoursePress plugin. I am testing various functionality that we'll be using. I have set up a simple course and an instructor and student user to do testing. Here is what I am unsure about:

My student user asks a question via the discussions tab, when logged in as an instructor I can see that discussion show up in CoursePress Pro > Discussions. However, I only see options to edit or delete the discussion, not to reply to it.

Perhaps I am just missing how to reply to these discussions as an instructor?

Note: Instructor capabilities are all checked.

Hello @Scott, I hope you are well today!

Please make sure that you have logged in with an Instructor account.

Please visit your front page, open a discussion, in selected Unit, by clicking on Discussion title, scroll down the page. You should be able to leave a reply in a comment section.

If you don't see a comment section, would you please grant support access from your Dashboard > WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access so that I can check?

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/wpmu-dev-dashboard-enabling-staff-login/

In CoursePress Pro > Discussions it's only possible to Edit or Delete Discussions.

Let us know if you require any further assistance.

    Cheers,
    Nastia

    Thanks for the quick reply.

That worked for me when logged in as a student, however, when I'm logged in as the instructor it is asking for the course passcode indicating that I am not enrolled in that course.

How do instructors view the course pages, including discussions, without being enrolled in the course? Or do I need to enroll the instructor in the course to view these?

    Hello again @Scott!

Please make sure that you have assigned an Instructor to a course. You can assign an instructor by visiting CoursPress Pro -> Courses, selected Edit course and view "Step 3 - Instructors" tab.

Select the instructor account and click on assign button like it shown in the attached screenshot.

Once you do this, you will be able leave a comment in discussion sections

I hope this helps! Let us know if you require any other information!

    Cheers,
    Nastia

Thanks again for continuing to help. I've attached a screenshot showing that I have already attached the instructor to the course.

I've also attached a shot of the course's homepage showing the passcode field. As per the admin bar I am logged into the instructor account.

    Hello there @Scott!

On my test site the instructor did not have to be enrolled in the course to leave a reply, would you please enroll the instructor and try again.

Would you be able to grant us support access so we can take a closer look?

You can grant support access via admin dashboard - WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access.

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards,

Hello Scott, I hope you are well today!

Thank you for sharing your credentials with us.

I've logged in to your dashboard and posted a comment in Discussion's question with no issue.

I created a small video to guide you through:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2TR4G0sRGvzaHVfVnlVNFprN2M/view

I was logged in as administrator, therefor I left a comment to a question as an Instructor. In case the instructor is not enrolled to a course, you can access Discussions by navigating to CoursePress Pro -> Courses and select View Units while hovering your mouse on top of the course title.

I hope this answers your question. If I may be of any further assistance, please, let me know.

    Best wishes,
    Nastia
