Roles and access to WPMUdev dashboard

I would like to give my clients some slightly admin access to their site but to remove the WPMUDEV dashboard. What is the best method? I noticed you rpost about the plugin “Webmaster User Role” but i am wondering if there are any other best practices.

I dont want my client to have the option to add any and all plugins from wpmudev. thanks

    I uploaded the dashboard plugin via wordpress’ native “add plugin” function. Is there a better method?

    I uploaded the plugin when logged in to the clients website as admin (my own admin not used by others) however my client also has admin access

    Hello there @ian, I hope you’re well today!

    I uploaded the dashboard plugin via wordpress’ native “add plugin” function. Is there a better method?

    No, that’s the recommended method.

    I uploaded the plugin when logged in to the clients website as admin (my own admin not used by others) however my client also has admin access

    The WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin is “locked” to the user that activates it.

    However you can further limit that if you want by adding this line in your site’s wp-config.php file:

    define('WPMUDEV_LIMIT_TO_USER', '1');

    where ‘1’ is your user ID.

    If you want to limit it to more than 1 users, you can do it like this:

    define('WPMUDEV_LIMIT_TO_USER', '1, 10');

    I hope that helps!

    Cheers,

    Ari.
