RSS Aggregator using wpmu dev plugins and themes

Hello,

I am trying to stay within wpmudev to implement simple rss aggregator. I am looking for simple theme and plugins from wpmu dev - site would be as simple as http://generatorfinansowy.blogspot.com/ - just the list of newest posts across multiple, various blogs.

I have found some solutions e.g. https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/aggregate/, http://wpdrudge.com/wordpress-rss-aggregator-theme, but they require subscription to other wordpress provider, and I would like to have everything with you. Publishing needs to be automated (not curated content that requires incoming post acceptance before publishing).

Could you please suggest some possible configurations - theme, plugins of yours?

Thank you in advance,
Milosz

    Hi wash ,

    Hope you're doing well today!

I think Autoblog plugin may interest you:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/autoblog/

It allows you to pull content from multiple sites using RSS feeds. Posts are automatically available, you can set tags, categories and custom author information.

I would like to suggest you to give a look in the plugin's page to learn more about the plugin and all the features available.

I hope this information has been helpful. If I can help you in this or other questions, please let me know!

    Cheers, Luís

    Hello,

thank you very much for suggesting. I am familiar with Autoblog - it is useful.

What I need, however, is more a way to get on the main site collection of Wordpress RSS widgets. They will aggregate content as direct links to other websites and will update automatically.

Autoblog "downloades" posts to my site, which is not necessary. Also, posts need to link to original site.

    I would appreciate any ideas.

    Hi wash ,

    Hope you're doing well today!

    You mentioned:

get on the main site collection of Wordpress RSS widgets.

This is for be used in WordPress Multisite? To display a list of posts from the network of subsites?

Just a note regarding to Auto Blog, you can change the post permalink for your imported posts to the original URL enabling the "Use External Permalinks" add-on (AutoBlog -> Add-ons).

However, AutoBlog always import the posts, so, if this is to be used in a "regular" WordPress installation and the goal is avoid importing the posts, I think this plugin may interest you:

I hope this information has been helpful. If I can help you in this or other questions, please let me know!

    Cheers, Luís
