server configuration

Hi,

I want to transfer this domain to WPMUDEV hosting, but the name server configuration is not possible at my registrar. Can only give ns1 and ns1 and IPV 4 and IPV6, no Cname.
Thanks and regards

Guy

    HI Guy,

Just to be sure the domain name is hcderxxxx.lu, right? In general, CNAME is recommended over A/AAA records. However, I'm double checking with our Hosting team to see whether there is any specific setup to make this work in such use case as you have mentioned and will keep you posted shortly.

Other than that, you could try considering Cloudflare which allows pointing the domain to the Cloudflare name server, and then pointing the A record to our host via Cloudflare DNS would help.

Will keep you posted once I get further feedback regarding the status of your query asap.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Guy,

Got an update regarding this from our Hosting team. Pointing the domains via A and AAA records only should be fine, and would work. However, you'll have to double check whether there isn't any other A, AAA Records, or CNAME already pointing to a different server in order to prevent any error regarding name resolution.

Please let us know if you have any further query. Have a nice day ahead.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

Sorry for the delay and thanks for your answer, but I can only choose to put nameserver 1 and nameserver 2 (3 or 4). No other possibilities to direct to the hosting server.
    What shall I do???

    Kind regards

That's odd, in general, the Domain provider would allow you to point the domain URL via A Recor,d and AAA records. So that isn't possible, and the nameserver is the only option?

If yes, I'm afraid the recommended option I could see would be via Cloudflare:
    https://www.cloudflare.com/

Cloudflare allows the option to point your nameservers to Cloudflare, and in the DNS settings of Cloudflare, you can point the A record to our Hosting IP address, which should ensure the domains are pointed to your website in our host.
