Set Blog Description doesn't work with the Farm 133 themes (???)

Hey guys,

Is it a known issue that the plugin "Set Blog Description" doesn't work with the farm 133 Themes ? (Honestly I suspect it doesn't work with 99% of all themes)

With what theme is it supposed to work ?

By the way as this plugin doesn't work with every theme it should be mentioned in the plugin description page (https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/set-blog-description-on-blog-creation/) so no-one waste its time writing support requests for known unsupported stuff

Thanks,

Cheers,

Actually the get_bloginfo must be implemented in all these theme's header as the tagline from the defaut WPMU installation is displayed... (I think the default WPMU tagline is something like A site using "WPMU install name")

So it's likely a bug in the plugin I would guess. Kinda weird nobody checked it's working.

    Hi Kimberly,

You did not read my answer

I said : the tagline IS DISPLAYED but instead of being the one typed in the Set Description plugin it is the default WPMU tagline !!

Of course I don't expect a non existing tagline to be displayed magically... but this plugin simply does not work so far

    Hey there!

Sorry but I can't see where you said this:

the tagline IS DISPLAYED but instead of being the one typed in the Set Description plugin it is the default WPMU tagline !!

anywhere. But I do appreciate you spelling it out for me. Makes all the difference in the world, as everyone seems to have different way of speaking and terminology, so I sometimes over-decipher. Being in two different conversations on the same page is tiresome, and you've saved me from that

Wondering how you are testing specifically on Farms Theme? ARe you using New Blogs Template?

    Well I said this :

Actually the get_bloginfo must be implemented in all these theme's header as the tagline from the defaut WPMU installation is displayed...

    Which clearly means :

the tagline IS DISPLAYED but instead of being the one typed in the Set Description plugin it is the default WPMU tagline !!

How I'm testing : well I install a blog with the plugin installed and cross the finger to see if the tagline is changed. Obviously if it doesn't work I change the tagline manually from the backend and check if the tagline is changed in the header : if it's changed it means the getbloginfo is called and the tagline is not hardcoded, so it means that the plugin should have worked but doesn't...

Please get this plugin solved, I have now proved step by step and from A to Z that it's buggy
