Having a problem integrating Marketpress with Authorize.net. Is the only way to set up with AIM and does the site itself have to contain SSL.

Thanks, Lori Newman

    Greetings Lori,

Thank you for this great question and bringing this significant issue to our attention.

Having a problem integrating Marketpress with Authorize.net. Is the only way to set up with AIM and does the site itself have to contain SSL.

Yes the site should have a working SSL certificate if expecting clients to enter in personal information.

However, since I am not sure if it is absolutely required or not to integrate with Authorize.net, I am going to go ahead and see if I can get our resident Authorize.net integration specialist and lead developer @ColeS in here to answer this great question.

Though this may take a bit longer then a normal ticket, I will try to get him in here asap.

    Cheers, Joe

    Hello Gina,

Thanks, the only thing I have been able to find is that using AIM does require using SSL. Unfortunately it is not an option for my client. She can't add SSL since ssl is not available for addon domain with Bluehost.

    Thankyou for all your help.

    Hello PC,

You can mark as resolved, we went the extra mile and had to mode her site to primary domain, obtaini dedicated ip and obtain SSL. There seemed to be no other way around it  Thanks, Lori
