Short codes visible on page

I cant seem to get why sometimes, the short codes are visible on a page.

Can you give me some guidance on this.

    Hi @crissymarie

    When you edit the post / page to add the shortcodes, are you adding the shortcodes in the visual or text section (they’re a couple of tabs on the right hand side)? The visual editor is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) and so if you’re adding the shortcode there, WordPress might be adding them literally instead of interpreting them as shortcodes. I’d try adding them through the text editor view in the appropriate spot instead and see if that helps. :slight_smile:

    Firstly, can you upgrade to the latest version – it has a lot of bug fixes in it.

    Secondly, are you viewing the page as a membership admin user? You can tell from the Admin bar at the top of the page on your site. If you are then, yes, you will see the shortcodes. This is so that , as an admin, you can see all the content that you are trying to protect.
