    Hi Vinod,

    Thanks for the reply, I tried re-creating the region/menu on a couple of the pages. Im running into a couple of issues

    1) After a region is created and menu applied & page saved. I cant edit the region. i noticed there is a small gap on the left side so wanted to move it so that it fills the entire page width, but there seems to be some kind of issue with that see this sreencast - https://monosnap.com/file/CxsQ3xYtMeYyFvMo8L4wehbvTbnuP1

    2) when adding a menu to the region its VERY!!! Temperamental i just want there to be a "Forum" menu which is centred evenly and in the same position of all forum pages. Having to make this region + re-adjust menu each time manually is as you can see in the screencast a HUGE waste of time and almost impossible to get them all to look the same? Screencast - http://take.ms/0iwtW

    Is it not possible to create some kind of template region+Menu that can be added to each page OR Add a option in the settings to choose what page the region+menu combo are viewed on ? instead of me having to manually do this on each page (as you can see in the screencast takes a long time to do something very simple?!!) - and this is after already doing 2-3 other pages like this. as i have another 3 to do i would like to find a better way to do this?

    Please can you take a look at this and perhaps if this is not a feature as yet offer a workaround / ask that it be added to the upfront theme asap.

    Thanks
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

    I logged in to your site but didn't find he white space that you have displayed in your shared screencast. See the attached screenshot.

    Also to reuse the created sub menu make it global region as shown in the second attached screenshot then just reuse it on another pages as displayed in the third attached screenshot.

    Find more information about regions here https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/upfront-regions/

    Hello Tom,

    I tried to replicate this issue on my lab site, but it works as the Vinod described. But looking at your screen my concern is that you are setting global region on the page where you then remove it, and then you want to add this global region that you just removed...
    But when you add global region one page, save it, then edit other page and add new global region it should be on the list.
    Can you check if this approach is working for you?

    Kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi Kasia,

    Sorry not sure im following that.

    So in short i want the same sub menu to appear only on the forum pages which are these:

    - http://tinyurl.com/nexxo7d
    - http://tinyurl.com/oooa7tr
    - http://tinyurl.com/nhzxwbc
    - http://tinyurl.com/nq6d7pd
    - http://tinyurl.com/pbtt3jt
    - http://tinyurl.com/ppv6fzp
    - http://tinyurl.com/o3q36mt

    To do this i was under the impression that by creating the global region i could then select it for all of those pages (without having to manually create each one-by-one and run the risk that they are not identical)

    So i started by Making the floating sub-menu a global one when on the beginner forum page. After saving that. I switched to a different page i.e. General Tips & Resources Forum page. (that page had already had one of the copies of the sub-menu that i tried creating before - this being one which is slightly different alignments that the one i made as a global region. - therefore i removed it.

    From there i tried adding the newly created global region which was not available.

    I was under the impression that this method is the same as the one you described?

    But when you add global region one page, save it, then edit other page and add new global region it should be on the list

    I tried this again. This time as you can see in the screencast below. I still cant see the menu global region from the previous page but only any newly created global menu from that current page. and i still cant click it. (could you perhaps try test this on my site? make this sub-menu on this page http://tinyurl.com/oooa7tr and make it appear on this page - http://tinyurl.com/ppv6fzp and share a screencast video of how you achieved it please? ) as i feel like im going round in circles and cant replicate what you are doing within your test site?
    (site is still in development so any changes you make dont matter, just want to get this sub menu working)

    Hello Tom,

    I'm really sorry I didn't noticed this earlier. I watched again your movie. You don't make global region. You make normal region, and there inside you created floating global region. That's why this is not working for you.
    I'm attaching movie how I did this. Please note, that I first created new region, set it to global, then add menu to it.
    After that I was able to add it on the second page.

    Hi Kasia,

    Thanks very much that was really helpful! after that i was done in minutes :smiley:

    Ran into one issue though. I want the sub menu to be sticky so that when user scrolls down it remains in view in the same way that the main orange menu does. (so effectively both menu and sub menu remain in view and the content below it is the one that moves.) After following your video i have made the region global and added the menu to it. then made it floating and re-saved the page then tested in another browser logged in as a regular user but as you can see in this screencast video it does not scroll in the correct way. Can you please advice me on how to fix this?

    Hi Tom,

    I could confirm the issue on your site.

    Could you please try using the following CSS code to resolve this issue?

    .upfront-output-region-container-sticky{
        z-index:9999;
    }
    .upfront-output-region-container-sticky + .upfront-output-region-container .upfront-navigation.upfront-navigation-float{
      top: 87px !important;
    }
    .upfront-output-region-container-sticky + .upfront-output-region-container div#upfront-region-main-area-floating-1 {
      top: 72px !important;
      position: fixed !important;
    }

    You can use the above custom CSS code by adding it in the Custom CSS option of the upfront theme as described in the below post and pdf.
