Signup Code plugin challenge with theme

I purchased a theme from another provider in 2011. It was supported from WordPress 3.2.x to 3.4.x. The theme was also originally installed in single site mode.

I upgraded to WordPress 3.9 (after backing up the site), and then followed the directions here on WPMUDEV to make it multi-site.

Finally, I uploaded and Network Activated the Signup Code plugin.

However, I’m not having any success in seeing the signup code on the wp-login.php screen.

I realize that WPMUDEV has no responsibility for troubleshooting this issue, but I’d love to gain some insights or hurdles that you might detect which I can bring back to the programmers for a workaround.

I can provide FTP and admin access so you can peek under the hood. I am also open to a recommendation on a WPMUDEV theme that maintains the aesthetic and eliminates the hiccup we’re presently dealing with.

A ‘Coming Soon’ placeholder screen is presently in place while we add content before unveiling the site to the public.

Thanks in advance for guidance, insights, and recommendations!

    Hi @hector,

Greetings and thanks for posting on the forums.

However, I’m not having any success in seeing the signup code on the wp-login.php screen.

The Signup Code plugin limits who can sign up for a site or user account at your network by requiring a special code that you can easily configure yourself so you won’t see the signup code on the wp-login.php screen instead you should check it on wp-signup.php screen on the URL

If it’s not working for you then this may be due to plugin / theme conflict.

You can just try on your development site deactivating all other plugins and using default WordPress theme like Twenty Thirteen as displayed in the flowchart on the following page to know which theme/ plugin is conflicting if any.

You can send me your site details through our contact form:
