Site not appearing on Shipper

Both my sites do not appear from both the sites ends while I try to migrate. Other sites work but interestingly this seems to be only an issue with these two sites.

    Hi Lane

The case s already with the developers to check, however, since you asked for an alternative ways you can consider Snapshot backup and restore for a site to migrate though this plugin isn’t designed for migration. Please check https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/easy-migration-snapshot/

You can also create managed backup for the site and then download the backup from https://premium.wpmudev.org/hub/account/ under Snapshot section -> All backups which you can upload and restore on the destination site.

Second is the manual migration you can check here https://www.wpexplorer.com/migrating-wordpress-website/

Hope this helps you. Please let me know your views.

    Hi Aditya,

I was wondering how the developers are going as I need this site moved over and I have not been able to get Snapshot to work on over 3/4 of my sites so are not keen to try to use it for migration.

    Lane.

    Hi Lane,

So sorry for the time it’s taking. I just checked the status and found that our developers are still working on this. I believe they will come up with their valuable feedback on this very soon. We will update you here as soon as we get anything from them.

    I really appreciate your patience.

    Hi Lane

    Hope you are doing well.

You can give a try using the Manage Backup from Snapshot, this plugin isn’t indicated for migration once main task is backup, however, you can restore the managed backup on the new server, especially target site is the same domain.

    1. At first, create a Managed Backup in Snapshot.
    2. Then go to your Hub, click on the source site domain, go to Backup tab. There you will see your managed backups listed.
    3. Beside the listings, there will be a button RESTORE. Click on it and choose "My website is down"
    4. Clicking that will give you option to download two files.
    A) One - Backup Zip File
    B) Two - snapshot-installer.php file
    5. Download them both.
    6. Then upload both to your target site root directory. (this directory needs to be empty)
    7. Create a clean database at your target site hosting.
    8. Then go to "https://ENTER_SITE_URL.com/snapshot-installer.php "
    9. Then you will see options to restore the backup.
    10. Follow the instructions and then you will be done.
