Slug in URL for homepage (but it still need to be "front page")

Hi @Ashok , moving from a chat to here. Last part of our conversation is bellow, access is already granted.

@Ashok:
Ohh you mean you need to set a slug in front page, right?
That means, instead of site.com you want site.com/something as your front page. So if someone enters site.com it will redirect to site.com/something.
Am I right?

@Karolina
Yes.

@Ashok
1. Create a page from Pages > Add New, name it anything
2. From reading settings, make it front page
3. Add the following code in your theme's functions.php:

add_action( 'template_redirect', 'template_redirect_cb' );
function template_redirect_cb() {
if( is_front_page() ) {
wp_redirect( 'YOUR HOME PAGE URL' );
die();
}
}
