Smart Crawl as it is currently (v2.5) is showing the image thumbnail as the article cover on OGraph and Twitter Cards.
For our site setup. thumbnails are Very small (100px wide) and thus useless for content sharing.
It would be nice to be able to choose globally what size to use, from a list of theme registered image sizes.
If we use the plugin funcion that allows users to choose the Open Graph Cover, it’s not working right. It adds an image to the opengraph set (og:image) of images, but does not remove the initial thumbnail image from the set, here is the output code from the plugin:
<meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/2020-01-22-Cisal-Badagliacca-Scaglione-Ars-Sicilia.jpg" /> <meta property="og:image:width" content="1200" /> <meta property="og:image:height" content="630" /> <meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/2020-01-22-Cisal-Badagliacca-Scaglione-Ars-Sicilia-100x53.jpg" />
Thus we cannot remove the smallest image from the tags using opengraph. Twitter cards do not present the same problem.
Can anyone help? Thankyou.
