[Smush Pro] Website Not Delivering Next Gen Images

I installed the plugin and went through with all the set up, and I activated the CDN for Smush Pro. However, it is still not delivering next gen image formats. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Scott,

    Smush Pro doesn’t serve images via CDN which are loaded via CSS, for example, images which are added via CSS like:

    div {
    background-image: url(path-to-image);
    }

    Other than these images, I could notice all the Smush CDN URL for the images has a similar format of:

    https://777414.smushcdn.com/1449855/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/colby_logo-300x47.png?size=300x47&lossy=1&strip=1&webp=1

    Where webp=1, means the images are served as an webp image which is Next Gen Images.

    I suppose you are noticing these as an issue from the Performance Test page in the Hummingbird? If yes, please clear the page cache, and then re-run a new Performance test, and see whether it brings any improvement.

    Apart from images loaded via CSS, I don’t see any issues with any images in general as they are delivering in Next Gen format.

    If you still notice anomalies, please do enable support access to your website so that we could check further.

    You can grant access from WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access, or check this manual: https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#chapter-5

    Please let us know once you enable access so that we could get this sorted. Have a nice weekend.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin
