smushing original images

Hi,
Will smushing the original size images have any impacto n the dimensions of the image or just the file size? Will there be any noticable quality differences? Is it good practice to always smush the original images?

    Will smushing the original size images have any impacto n the dimensions of the image or just the file size?"Smush my original full-size images" option have no impact on the dimension of the image. It just reduce the file size.
    Impact on the dimension have option "Resize my full size images".

    Will there be any noticable quality differences?If you don’t have "Super Smush" enabled then image quality will not be touched.

    Is it good practice to always smush the original images?Yes, because in many cases original image is use by some part of page, like for ex.: sliders, post featured image etc.
