[Snapshot] Cronjobs not executing

It seems that cronjobs on my site aren't executing so scheduled backups aren't performed. Manually started backups work correctly.

    Hi Dan,

Hope you are doing good today.

The default WordPress Cron jobs, in general, are executed when there is traffic to the website. If there isn't enough traffic, there are chances that the cron jobs won't get executed at the scheduled interval.

I tried testing with WP Cronrol plugin in your website, and I could exectue a new Manged backup via cron jobs. Solutions for such cases would be to replace the default WP cron with server cron.

Could you please try switching to server cron, instead of using the default WordPress cron, and it should work fine.

Please check this article on how to perform these steps:

Please let us know how that goes. Have a nice day ahead.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

Thanks for your reply. I have created an Uptime Robot monitor to ping my website every 5 minutes and the backups have been working as expected for the past 3 days, so as you suggested it seems that wp-cron was not being executed.

    Thanks,
