Snapshot on a different server

Hi there!
I have a large bloated site (Wordpress) that I wanted to move from Hostgator to my VPS. I wanted to clean it up so I exported the site and imported to new install, added the same theme and needed plugins. Site on new server (http://23.95.5.103/) displays differently than site on old (http://topcoatreview.com) server, I think it may be a theme issue, as the old server is an older php version, but the theme developer is not to responsive. Anyways, I just want to know if I change the DNS to the new server, would restoring from the snapshot on the old site be possible if needed. I know, sounds odd, but I have not used Snapshot to restore, much less after changing host.
Thanks

    Hey Chris,

    Hope you're doing well.

After you've moved your site did you make sure that DB is properly moved and updated as well?
You will need to make sure to replace your old URL with the new one, Better Search & Replace plugin should be able to do the trick for that.

Since the backups are connected to domain you will probably not be able to restore them after the change.
However, before you do the change you can go to HUB and in Backup tab for your site you will find backup files and snapshot-installer files that you can download and which you can use to restore the backup in clean installation.

    Best regards,
    Predrag
