    I am getting following message:

t looks like we've lost connection with your website. Check that Managed Backups is connected by logging into your WordPress admin and visit the Snapshot Managed Backups settings. Once you've confirmed that it's connected, please try again.

Not sure how to tie with my Dropbox account, or what do you recommend for file storage?

    Hello Martin. ,

Snapshot Pro plugin offers two types of backups:
    - Snapshots - those are backups of the content of your site, so Database, plugins, themes and media files. Those you can keep locally on your server (that is default setting) or select another destination like Amazon, FTP, Dropbox. Ba
    - Managed Backup - that one takes the backup of the whole site. Including the WordPress core files. This backup is stored on the WPMU DEV Cloud. There is no other destination available for Managed Backups.

Let me know if you have more questions.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

Thanks. Which is the configuration I need to set for Managed Backup ?

I am interested in that copy whole site and store in. WPMUDEV? Is that copy protected?? I mean to prevent other to access and easily replicate my site.

So, once I entere menu I saw many options (Dropbox, Google Drive, FTP, etc) if I do not select any of those, does this mena that copy will be sottre in WPMU DEV Cloud?

    Thanks

ok, Now I manage to run the backups.

Now question if you could share with me process to restore. And what if I want to restore in different Domain. For instances finders.mx in back-up restore in newdomain.com.mx
So I guess in order for that to work after restoring I would only need to change the urls or someting more is requiered

For instance http://www.finders.mx/example1 will not translate directly to newdomain.com.mx/example1

    Thanks

    Hi Martin.

    How are you today?

You will need to restore manually the backup in this situation, downloading the managed backup from HUB and using the restoration script.

    1. At first, create a Managed Backup in Snapshot.
    2. Then go to your Hub, click on the source site domain, go to Backup tab. There you will see your managed backups listed.
    3. Beside the listings, there will be a button RESTORE. Click on it and choose "My website is down"
    4. Clicking that will give you option to download two files.
    A) One - Backup Zip File
    B) Two - snapshot-installer.php file
    5. Download them both.
    6. Then upload both to your target site root directory. (this directory needs to be empty)
    7. Create a clean database at your target site hosting.
    8. Then go to "https://ENTER_SITE_URL.com/snapshot-installer.php "
    9. Then you will see options to restore the backup.
    10. Follow the instructions and then you will be done.

However, note, the Snapshot is a backup plugin, the ideal scenario would be the restoration on the same URL.

If you are trying to clone your site on multiple links, I suggest you using the Shipper plugin instead https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/shipper-pro/ It will migrate the site correctly for you, and you can find the complete guide on https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/shipper/

    Best Regards,
