Snapshot Pro empty response during managed backups

Never managed to get a remote backup taken from your update.

    Hello Graham!

    I just got some word of explanation from the developer. The "Immediate hook misfired..." message is a sort of a "keep alive" cron process that's there in order to keep cron task going while something went wrong during the last "backup attempt" - so it could re-try the process.

    The developer asked me to run some more tests (don't worry, it won't affect any part of your site except Managed Backups settings) on your site so would you mind granting me a support access to it? To do this, please follow this guide here:

    Thank you for granting access. I visited the site again and tested the backup and passed information to the developer. I'm awaiting further instructions from him and I'll keep you updated.

    Please also make sure that the support access is kept open until we got it fixed (it's time valid so you may need to take a look every once in a while and re-grant it). Thanks!

    Just to let you know I've managed this on a second site (in my wpmudev account) which is a simpler setup (single blog site) and it's working.

    So there's something on the primary domain that's not liking snapshot. Whether it's Multisite, BuddyPress, a plugin causing conflict. But it's definitely not going to be host related as they're on the same platform.

    Thank you for letting me know about this.

    Could we try one more "trick"? Please add following code to your site's "wp-config.php" file:

    define('SNAPSHOT_FILESET_CHUNK_SIZE', 100);

    This should be placed above the "/* That's all, stop editing! */" line. Once it's there, make sure that all the caches (if there are any) are cleared and give it another try.

    Please note: before adding this line you must disable scheduled managed backups and no manual managed backup can be running. Run manual managed backup and/or enable scheduled managed backups only after you added that line.

    Let me know please if that changed anything.

    Thank you for your replay. I checked the site again and also run some other tests on my sandbox install and I think you may be right about something that's very specific to this particular setup. It would be best now to perform a full theme/plugin conflict test as it should show us if any other part of your site is interfering with Managed Backups.
