[Snapshot Pro] Managed Backup doesn't work

Other kind of backup error

The snapshot / backup itself is not a problem, only the uploading is not working. Renewing the regkey already done, no improvement. Any suggestions?

    I'm sorry to hear that Snapshot is not working on your site correctly.

    Do you have any of those lines in your wp-config.php file:

    define('SNAPSHOT_MB_BREADTH_FIRST', true);
    define('SNAPSHOT_FILESET_LARGE_FILE_SIZE', 104857600);
    define('SNAPSHOT_BACKTRACE_ALL', true);

    If yes, can you remove them and see what happens then? If there will be an error and if yes, what type of error.

    If you also have access to cPanel where you can see I/O usage please check if it's not spiking while Managed Backup is done.

    Hi Kasia,

    thank you for your quick response. As we have bank holidays here I didn´t expect such a quick answer. Never the less there is no single line of these above in my wp-config.php and unfortunately I don´t have cpanel access.

    So what else I can do?

    By the way snapshot is not able to handle ä,ö,ü,ß?

    and unfortunately I don´t have cpanel access.

    Can you contact your hosting provider and ask about any abnormalities in the I/O usage for your site. They should be able to check this.
    Very often this is a cause of Managed backup fails - and then the only solution is to increase the I/O usage limit.

    But I would still like to take a quick look on your site. Would you mind allowing support access? To enable support access you can follow this guide here:

    By the way snapshot is not able to handle ä,ö,ü,ß?

    Can you tell me more about this? Like in the name of the Snapshot? I tested and I could save name with those characters.

    Hope you are doing well.

    Thank you for the support access.

    I can see there is a console error when uploading the backup.

    Most of the time this can be caused by a plugin conflict.

    Wouldn't you mind please, run a plugin conflict test?

    Remember, is essential that you run this test in a staging site, if you can’t do it you must create a full backup.

    Please disable one plugin by one and check each time if you can upload the backup until you find the one is causing the error.

    If you still having this issue, could you do a theme test, much the same as the plugin test, but now you’re testing themes!
    Activate one of the default WordPress themes, like Twenty Sixteen or Twenty Seventeen.
