[Snapshot Pro] Snapshot: Manage Backup Upload Error

Hey,
I have enabled managed backups for several sites and notice that many times the backup completes and uploads, but the page says "Upload Error" for sites with bigger backups. I confirmed the upload succeeded, so this seems to be a false alarm.
Not sure if you already knew about this. If you didn't and need more info, let me know.

    Hello Brian!

    Hope you are doing well!

    Please let us know what is the backup size of the sites that show this error so we could test it on our end?

    Is the Managed Backups scheduled and set to keep multiple copies? Please grant access to your site from WPMU DEV > Support so we could have a closer look?

    Let us know when you do!

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hello there Brian,

    I went ahead and activated Managed Backups. After running a new one, I also got the same error message, but it seems that backup was uploaded.

    Could you please access your server through FTP, edit the wp-config.php file and insert the following line just above the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ comment:

    // Enable WP_DEBUG mode
    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
    // Disable display of errors and warnings
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);
    @ini_set('display_errors', 0);

    // Snapshot settings - start
    define('SNAPSHOT_FILESET_CHUNK_SIZE', 10);
    define('SNAPSHOT_TABLESET_CHUNK_SIZE', 50);
    define('SNAPSHOT_FILESET_USE_PRECACHE', true);
    define('SNAPSHOT_FILESET_LARGE_FILE_SIZE', 104857600); //100MB
    define('SNAPSHOT_IGNORE_SYMLINKS',true);
    define('SNAPSHOT_FORCE_ZIP_LIBRARY', 'pclzip');
    define('SNAPSHOT_ATTEMPT_SYSTEM_BACKUP', true);
    // Snapshot settings - end

    Then try to run a new Managed Backup and see how that goes. If the error comes up again, then attach in your next reply the /wp-content/debug.log file from your server.

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris

    Hello, I followed your instructions and here is the debug log, which unfortunately seems unhelpful.

    Hey there Brian,

    that's true, debug log didn't provided much info. Let's try to make couple more adjustments and give this another try though.

    Edit above snippet in wp-config.php and add the followings, right after the Snapshot definitions:

    define('SNAPSHOT_BACKTRACE_ALL', true);
    define('SNAPSHOT_SYSTEM_DEBUG_OUTPUT', true);

    Also please try to increase the following PHP variables as shown in this article
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/increase-memory-limit/

    max_execution_time = 3000
    default_socket_timeout = 3000

    Then try to run Managed Backups once more and attach /wp-content/debug.log file here in your next reply (don't copy/paste its content please).

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris
