Spirit slider and icon front end issues

I am having issues with my slider and facebook icon working on the front end. When in upfront customize, my slider and facebook icon display properly.

When I save and exit upfront customize, my slider images do not appear and my facebook Icon shows as the number "3"

here is a video grab to show the issue.. I have support access already activated.

    Hi Mark ,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

I have troubleshooted the slider image issue on your site and found it was image related issue.

In upfront edit mode the images are displaying the following correct image URL

When we are not in upfront mode then it uses the following image URL which is incorrect therefore the images don't get displayed.

I deleted and readded the images to the slider and now it;s displaying fine except for non logged in users.

For non logged in users it's displaying fine when they see it in dev mode by visiting the following URL

So it seems the issue is causing by any customization that you have made in the upfront theme like adding wrong font URL etc.

If you don't remember what change you have made caused this issue then try resetting whole theme to its default state as described in the following thread.

Regarding the facebook icon issue, it's the known issue reported in the following thread which is fixed and the updated theme version containing fix for it will be released soon.

    Best Regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

Thanks for the quick reply.. Thanks for the explanation. The only thing I can think that is customized is some of the CSS for some elements.. I also been testing some portfolio plug-ins to see which work with this them..

I will keep eye on this and maybe i can track down possible reason.

    Hello Vinod,

I have reset the Spirit theme and started all over.. not excited about this. already sent 10hrs extra on this project and starting all over again is not making my client happy.

I contacted GoDaddy, and there is no way to turn the caching off. This is implemented at the server level and the hosting plan does not allow this access.

With out having the access to turn this off, I assume I will continue to have issues??

I may have to rethink this whole upfront theme.. Love the concept, but all the little issues are really have already caused me to lose money with this client and they have asked me to look for other alternatives.

    Hello @Mark Owen

I hope you are well today.

Sorry to hear that you had some issues.

With out having the access to turn this off, I assume I will continue to have issues??

Well, to be honest, we really can't confirm that. Some servers applies extra caching to run the site faster and to reduce loads on the server, so there are possibilities to have conflict; not only with upfront themes, but also with some other plugins even from different vendors.

But we can confirm you that, we will try our best to solve your issue till last minute.

Your current issue seems due to any mis-configuration I believe. As you said, you have started all over, please let us know if you still get same issue again.
