SQL-Error - maybe related (or the cause for) my server error

it may be related to the (second coming) of the problem here https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/internal-server-error-all-over-my-site?replies=5#post-1136935 (or even may be the cause) - or not, so I decided to open a new thread.

My server is administrated by LiveConfig and if I check there "Managing Server" and "Databases" I get the following message:

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

What's to do here?

Thanks in Advance!

    Hi MAtthias,

    Hope you're well?

It's hard to say whether it's related or not.

What is this managing servers / databases tool you mentioned above? is this a wordpress plugin, or something in your servers CPanel?

If it's a tool that's in your CPanel and gives that error, then you might be best asking your host to look at that as that looks to be an issue on their side.

    Hope this helps

Well, for now I know it is not related - as the other error could be fixed while this one still remains. LiveConfig is a program to admin the server - including setting up email accounts and creating databases. There are several instances of LiveConfig - the said error you only see in the admin instance but it causes in the User-Instance a mistake when creating databases (they always remain "in process" and never get "done", which seems to be logical, given what the error says. However, I opened a support ticket at LiveConfig, hoping they can at least tell me how to get to the bottom of it

Thank NAME, for their help.
