Stripe - How to "Try Again Later" when subscription payment fails

I have a problem with one of our sites (#723)
The subscription payment of 3/14 was rejected by bank with "Try Again Later". How do we push another try? Although the subscriber received the email showing the problem with payment, when I went to her Pro Site dashboard page it is showing that even though the payment was not successful, her site privileges were extended the 30 days to 4/14 yet it is also showing next payment date of 3/18???? It seems to me that the additional 30 day credit may be associated with my other support ticket showing double credits for payments.
