[Subscribe by Email] Spam Entering Through Follow Portal Despite Recaptcha Enabled

I’ve been using Subscribe by Email for years — but have recently saw an increase in spam, entering through the Follow portal (the box at the bottom of the page that opens for folks to put their email in for a subscription to our eDigest) — totally didn’t know until now that the recaptcha wasn’t covering that portal.

In my research I read in a separate post (from January 2019) that a patch was being developed for this — not sure if it was ever implemented, though. I’m happy to test out any fix you can come up with! Thanks!
