Sucuri Cloudproxy Compatabile With Domain Mapping?

I was looking at adding another layer of security to my Wordpress Multi Site setup, and I was wondering if the Domain Mapping plugin is compatible with the Sucuri CloudProxy service?

Basically to use the Succuri CloudProxy service I'll need to update my domain DNS to point to their servers, and then their servers point to my servers.

Here's a how it's setup-
http://kb.sucuri.net/cloudproxy/Configuration/getting-started
http://kb.sucuri.net/cloudproxy

I'm wasn't sure if that would work or not since people will be pointing their domains at my server IP's address for the domain mapping plugin...or if there is anything special that needs to be done so I can use Sucuri Cloudproxy successfully with the Domain Mapping plugin.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Jonathan

    Hi there Jonathan,

Hope you're well today and welcome to WPMU DEV!

I personally use Cloudflare which works in a similar way and Domain Mapping works fine on my install. Though just to make sure, I've flagged the lead developer of Domain Mapping to provide his valuable input here.

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

    Hi @jonathan_register

    Welcome to WPMU DEV!

The only thing that may stop from functioning would be DNS validation when you wanna map a new domain and the rest should work just fine. But still i recommend testing with a demo/short account from Succuri CloudProxy.

Please let me know if you face with any problem doing that.

Same - you said "The only thing that may stop from functioning would be DNS validation when you wanna map a new domain and the rest should work just fine. But still i recommend testing with a demo/short account from Succuri CloudProxy."

That's right, adding a domain alias in domain mapping plugin stopped working. So how to make this work? Unless a domain can be mapped to a sub site..users won't be happy..any clues on how to make it work?

    Hi @Deep

Please turn "Verify domain's DNS settings" off and you should be able to map a domain, and if it's not working please make sure the mapped domains are pointing to the root of your main domain.

    Please keep me posted.
    Thanks,
    Sam

Sucuri doesn't support Domain Mapping, although if you ask nicely they will setup your domain with a wild card. Their system blocks it unfortunately, and there doesn't seem to be any chance of them changing it soon unless more people ask. Email support and request it, but as of right now, I haven't been able to get it working, with the exception of subdomains. Granted the first time I talked it was a no for subdomain mapping, and now it's a yes, domain mapping is gonna take a bit more persuasion I think.

Thank NAME, for their help.
