Suggestion for Standard BP Daily Theme Links

Hi tammie,
Just a suggestion here for the BP Daily standard theme.

I absolutely adore this theme but the only tiny thing I think you should change on it is the colour of the links.

Before a link is visited on hover it is black text with an underline. The underline makes it stand out but ONLY when hovered over. nothing else suggests it is a link.

Secondly when a link has been visited, the text stays the same colour and the underline disappears even on hover.

I think it would work better if links were a different colour than black and again another colour when visited.
This would also make the links to articles under the featured artciles on the front page stand out more too. They do have a habit of looking like one block of text otherwise.

Let me know what you think.
Thanks

    Hi Tammie,
    Personally I think the default scheme looks awesome and fits with the image of my site really well.

    Is there a simple CSS solution I can just place in the child theme to change the link hover and visited colors?
    Cheers :slight_smile:

    @rossagrant: sure just change/adjust these lines:

    a, a:link{
    color: #111111;
    }

    a:hover{
    color: #666666;
    }

    a:visited{
    color: #111111;
    }

    That was from daily.css - the theme has the colour bits and styling split from the format which you will find in typography.css and can also call in the child theme to change:

    a, a:link{
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    a:hover{
    text-decoration: underline;
    }

    a:visited{
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    Depending on 'what' you want to do you may want to do a h1 a class call or something specific but it's easy enough to play with and see the effects. What I've put up there if you change to text-decoration: underline throughout would for instance always have underlines and so on.
