supporter plugin and support system

hi is there any way only supporters can access the support system?

As Support System is user-based it doesn’t detect whether the user is a Supporter blog.

You could probably do a custom edit to remove the menu item for non-supporters. If you’re comfortable editing plugins and playing with PHP I could provide guidance on that?

Otherwise, Supporter itself does provide a mechanism to allow only supporters to request support anyway.

Currently there isn’t any integration between these two, but it wouldn’t be too hard to accomplish.

For instance, you’d just want to do a check for super admin and supporter. You should be able to do this by adding the following starting at line 286 in incsub-support.php

if ( !is_super_admin()

&& function_exists('is_supporter')

&& !is_supporter()

) {

return;

} else {
```
This is saying to all folks who aren’t super admins and also aren’t supporters – don’t show this menu. To everyone else (supporters and Super Admins) show the menu.

You also need to add a closing bracket } before the next function line.

It’s a bit of a hack, but I believe it’ll work. I’ll ask the devs if this is something we can consider for a future release.

i will give this ago. sounds good to me. yea its difficult to use the support system because free users have the capability to send tickets, so the premium support looses its value.

leme give this a shot and see how this goes
