Switching between admin and user subscribers

Hi guys. Can you give me some advice please. When ever I am setting up a sub site with a plugin like membership 2 pro I need to switch between admin and user subscriber but if I log out of admin and login as user I get issues where the browser cookies still thinks I am admin as it seems to have remembered me and ignores I have logged out. So it makes it hard to switch between the accounts (i have a switch accounts plugin but it doesn't address this issue).

Is there a simple way to make this logging off and on to a different user easy?

Thanks.

    Hi Guy,

Is there a simple way to make this logging off and on to a different user easy?

I'm afraid, Membership 2 Pro doesn't provide any account switching facility, but it has a feature called "Test Membership". With this feature, you can check what other users (who are member of any specific membership) will see on your site. To use that, click on the "Test Membership" button in the admin bar in your WordPress Dashboard. Please check attached screenshots for reference.

Please let us know if this helps.

I searched for you regarding how you can switch user smoothly, and almost all articles are referring to this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-switching/

You said you already have a user account switching plugin, is it the same? If yes, then I'm afraid, I could not find any other easy workaround for this.

if I log out of admin and login as user I get issues where the browser cookies still thinks I am admin as it seems to have remembered me and ignores I have logged out

This is really weird and is not supposed to happen. I just tried to regenerate this on my test site but I could not. So I'm afraid, this is your site/browser specific problem.

Can you please try this from another browser and check if you can regenerate the same issue on that?

Can you please do a plugin conflict test just to make sure no other plugin is causing this? To know more about plugin conflict test, you can check this guide: http://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/getting-support/

I could tell you better about the issue if I could see it live, check your current configuration and make some tests on your site. Would you mind allowing Support Access so we can have a closer look at this?

To enable support access you can follow this guide here:

    Have a nice day. Cheers!
