The best way to hide the WPMU Dashboard on client sites…

I’m a fairly new WPMU member and I just downloaded Integrated Video Tutorials for a client’s site. How do I hide the WPMU Dashboard without using the code:

define(‘WPMUDEV_HIDE_BRANDING’, true);

The problem with using the code is that every time there’s a WP update, I’ll have to put the code back. If I have this installed for a ton of clients, this is not ideal in anyway.

Any thoughts?

    Hey @sinoun! :slight_smile:

    If you’re wanting to hide the advertisements that show up, you can go to:

    WPMU DEV -> Manage

    And set “Special offers” & “New release announcements” to “Hide”.

    If you’re wanting to hide the WPMU DEV menu inside the Dashboard, while still allowing updates to be performed… then our Ultimate Branding plugin may be what you’re looking for:

    If you were to install that, and enable the “Custom Admin CSS” module, then you could use this CSS code to hide the menu from users (bear in mind, that it’ll also be hidden from you as well, unless you remove the CSS code):

    li#toplevel_page_wpmudev {
    display: none;

    Hope this helps! :slight_smile:

    Kind Regards,
