there, I have

Hi there,
I have an old wordpress site that I would like the URL to be redirected to a new wordpress site or URL but I want to keep admin access to my old site (will keep paying the hosting for it).
Google tells me to install a redirect plugin but I can't find any information as to if my admin access will still work via going to the originalurl.com/wp-admin (worried it will redirect and I won't be able to login)

    Hey Laurie,

Hope you're doing well today

If I understand correctly you currently have olddomain.com which you want to redirect to newdomain.com, but at the same time you want to have olddomain.com/wp-admin/ url for your admin section, is that correct?

If that's the case could you please explain why are you looking to keep old admin URL?
You would need to point your new domain to your WP installation, which can be on different server.

This would be best checking with your hosting provider as they should be able to help you out with making the change or even do it for you.

You can also check for more information about changing WP site URL here:
