Dashboard Widget Order

Hi there,

The updated version of the dashboard-widget-order plugin has totally different php-code to arrange the order of plugins:

$dashboard_widgets_order['normal']['core'][] = 'dashboard_right_now';
$dashboard_widgets_order['normal']['core'][] = 'dashboard_activity';
$dashboard_widgets_order['normal']['default'][] = 'dashboard_incoming_links';

$dashboard_widgets_order['side']['core'][] = 'dashboard_quick_press';
$dashboard_widgets_order['side']['default'][] = 'dashboard_primary';

$dashboard_widgets_order['column3']['high'][] = 'dashboard_secondary';

$dashboard_widgets_order['column4']['high'][] = 'dashboard_plugins';

What line do you now need to adjust or insert for the custom-content-dashboard-widget?

    Hi @Jack,

    Thank you for the reply. I wish for the custom-content-dashboard-widget to be placed on the right-side of the dashboard. This does not automatically happen, and now the updated dashboard-widget-order plugin has a completed new coding structure.

    Please can you confirm what code needs to be changed or added to the php-file to make the custom-content-dashboard-widget appear in the right-hand column. (I need the code for the dashboard-widget-order plugin)

    Hi there @Grant,

    I hope you are well today and I'm very sorry about the delay.

    When you change the widget layouts, please make sure you update the new hash, in the variable "$dashboard_widgets_order_hash", just type random number.

    For now, we support the 4 columns. So if you want to add the widget to the very right, please do it in the column 4, example:

    $dashboard_widgets_order['column4']['default'][] = 'widget_1';
    $dashboard_widgets_order['column4']['default'][] = 'widget_2';

    So the new widget will display on the right side.

    Best Regards
    Hoang
