This is regarding multi site/multi domain configuration.

Primary multisite installtion: Writerswalk.com
alternative domain in multi-domain plug in: scribesites.com

I initially created a wildcard subdomain in cpanel When cpanel asked for the path to the subdomain, it pointed it the WP installtion on writerswalk.com. I also added an A record pointing to the ip address of writerswalk.com.
whatsmydns.net says that my.scribedomains.com resolves.
But the multidomain plugin says the wildcard is unavailable.
I don't know if I am making sense.

Add on information

Even though the multidomain plugin says wild card unavailable, it seems to be working. I am able to create domains with in the network admin area. I can also register using both domains.

So I don't know what I did, but I guess it worked.

So unless someone has insight that might help me understand, I guess the issue is resolved.

Thank you.

    Hello @Jerry

    Welcome to WPMU community!

I hope you are well today and thanks for asking the question.

Everything is good so far, just make me sure about two things

    1. Is the IP a dedicated IP?
    2. Is the IP pointed to writerswalk.com? That means, if you enter the IP in the browser, the writerswalk.com site should be loaded. Currently I am seeing, the IP shows the default page.

Please let us know about this.

    Cheers
    Ash
