Too many redirect loops! Help!

Hello,
No one can register for the site. The get an error message saying:

This webpage has a redirect loop.
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

When you go to http://www.MyFGVUniversity.com and from the top-right menu select LOGIN -> REGISTER, that's when the error comes up. The direct registration link is http://www.myfgvuniversity.com/pie-register-registration. Can someone please assist?

Thanks!

    Hi,
the problem is that the plugin from CoursePress doesn't work for me. I don't want anyone to just be able to register. I need to be able to approve the registrations. The Pie-Register plugin was working fine after another gentleman from CoursePress helped me with it, but for the past few days, it's completely unavailable. I'm sure that if I disable the Pie-Register plugin, that the site will work as it is designed, but how it is designed doesn't work for me. There is specific information I have to collect in order to authorize a registration. Is there another alternative I can use?

BTW, I enabled the option to grant CoursePress staff access to the site. Not sure if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Lilly

    Hello @Liliana Delgado

I hope you are well today.

When I disabled coursepress plugin, the register link didn't work too. So, I don't think it's a conflict with coursepress but another plugin.

Would you please run a plugin conflict test? Please deactivate all plugins except this one and check if you still face the problem. If not, then enable one by one and check which one is causing the problem. You can see the flowchart here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/getting-support/

Please let me know what you get.

    Cheers

    Hello Ash,
I understand what you are saying. I disabled the Pie Register plugin and now the registration page is back to the Course Press default. But, the virtual page for registration just doesn't work for me. How can I configure the Course Press registration page to include the information I need to capture and also prevent just anyone from registering. I need to be able to approve someone before they gain access. Please advise and I hope it is not through the purchase of another plugin. I'm sure that CoursePress Pro has to have a way to customize the form.

    Thanks,

    Lilly

    Hello @Liliana Delgado

I hope you are well today.

How can I configure the Course Press registration page to include the information I need to capture and also prevent just anyone from registering.

The plugin will need to be customized a lot and it's not that easy, I am afraid. Also, if you need to customise this then you can post a job in our job board where you can hire a developer to assist further: https://premium.wpmudev.org/wpmu-jobs/ Please note that, no WPMU official staff is available in the job board.

But for now, I think you can try pie register plugin. The problem is when I disabled coursepress, even then the pie register link didn't work. Would you please keep disabling coursepress plugin, then try to fix the pie register page and then enable coursepress plugin?

On the other hand, to approve users, you can try these plugins:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/new-user-approve/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-approve-user/

To add more profile fields, you can use BuddyPress, but it will turn your site into a social networking site too, that means, all the users will have another profile page, then could be able to be friends, they will update statuses etc.

Hope it helps  Please feel free to ask more question if you have any.

    Cheers
    Ash
