Unable to Create template file in custompress

I am using Edublogs theme and Custompress on multisite and i have created a i have created a new Post type named course but i am unable to create template file. Is there any one to help on this

Hello Paridhiman,

So here is what I assume you did. In CustomPress > Settings > Template files, you tried and created a template file and for some reason it isn’t happening.

Did you get any error messages? Please change the folder permissions of your current theme folder (Edublogs theme) to 777 using FTP and then try again (if you need more details on this, I can help).

After that, make sure you change it back to 755 :slight_smile:

Thanks for reply.

I have done as per your instructions and there are 2 files name single-course.php & single-institute.php in the template folder now these template file are not displaying in the Template option in the Page.

That is strange, does the files have something like this at the start of it?
```
<?php

/**

* The Template for displaying all single posts.

*

* @package WordPress

* @subpackage Twenty_Ten

* @since Twenty Ten 1.0

*/



get_header(); ?>
```
Make it something like this:
```
<?php

/**

Template Name: Classifieds Tags

*/



get_header(); ?>
```
The Template Name: Classifieds Tags is what that will make the template appear in your page templates.
