Unable to purchase a domain from eNom

Ok, so I signed up at eNom with [trinitytranslation] and have implemented the Domain Mapping plugin from WPMUDev into my WP Multisite Network.

When I try to purchase a domain from the new website that I have setup on the network [wenxindental], I am seeing this error message;

    Hello there,

Thanks for posting on the forums.

Sorry about the issues you are facing. I see that you are running Version 4.1.4 of Domain mapping plugin, can you kindly update to the latest plugin version and see if the issue is fixed ?

    Please advise.

    Cheers, PC

    Hi PC

No, sorry that did not work.

Do I need an SSL certificate to be in place for this functionality to work?

The request seems to be calling for an encrypted connection.

If so, what kind of SSL certificate is needed / recommended for a multisite setup with multiple domains that will need to be purchased / mapped from different accounts?

Hello again @Sean Grant, I hope you're well today!

Could you please grant me access to your backend so that I may see exactly what is happening?
To do so, from your dashboard go to WPMUDEV => Support => Support Access and click on the "Grant access" button.

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    Hello again @Sean Grant,

I just logged-in on your dashboard and tried finding a solution to your issue... However I was unable to find what might be causing this, so I have notified our Second Level Support guys on this (they're the code gurus).
Hopefully they'll be able to provide further assistance.

    Cheers,

    Hi there @Sean,

    Hope you are doing great!.

Your issue here is, as you are aware, an SSL certification issue.
In the eNom reseller settings the SSL certificate Verification is enabled, which is recommended. Therefore, you need to configure your domain to work over https correctly.
I just checked accesing your site and it is clearly not working: https://trinitytranslation.com

Regarding what type of certificate you need, my advice is to avoid a multi domain certificate because it is really expensive.
You should be good with a wildcard certificate like this.
It will work for your main domain and all the subdomains.

Now, you will need to configure the Administration mapping under Mapping options to use the original domain. This way you will avoid the need for a multi domain certificate.

Once you have the certificate working and you can access your sites over https everything should work fine.

Thanks for your patience on this.

In case you have SSL working properly and you still have issues with our plugin, then please you can reach me via contact form to avoid further delays, adding the following information:

    - In the subject field add "Attn: Jose”
    - Link back to this thread
    - Include admin/network access
    - Include FTP
    - Include any relevant URLS for your site

On the contact form, select "I have a different question", this ensures it comes through and gets assigned to me.
