Uninstalling MultiSite went wrong - 500 internal server error

During chat we tried to uninstall MU on staging site (details in chat transcript) with help of that tutorial https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/uninstall-multisite/

After doing all the things site started to throwing error 500 internal server error.
First we tried to fix htaccess, but it didn't help.

After enabling debug log, site started to showing Fatal error on front end about the WPML plugin.
However - generating new debug log to see if there is something more there didn't work. No new file, despite fatal error still showing.
We tried to disable all the plugins by renaming plugins directory, but there was no effect.

This is staging site.

    Hey Julien,

    Hope all is well

I had a look at your network and see that it was re-enabled in wp-config.
What I did is I disabled it again but I also disabled Rocket cache in wp-config.php and after that your site is loading fine for me as a single site.
I also re-enabled WPML after that and the site is still up and running for me.

Can you check it out and see if it's running for you as well?

Also, I have enabled Rocket cache back after all this and it didn't made any errors so it seems things are in place now.

    Best regards,
