Updates for image1plus.com quit working

I should have 3 sites in my dashboard, spi.us, i1p.us and image1plus.com. I'm not sure what happened but now http://www.image1plus showed up and image1plus is showing to be down. I tried deleting them so I could add image1plus.com again. I can delete http://www.image1plus.com but cannot delete image1plus.com. I can not update image1plus.com from the Hub either. My host recently made some changes with www and how it was being re-directed and I suspect that may have something to do with it. Can you assist me with removing http://www.image1plus.com and re-activating image1plus.com?

Thanks,
Larry

    Hello Larry!

The "image1plus.com" redirects to "www.image1plus.com". Both addresses are registered with your account but from "outside" it looks like it's the same site.

When you a visitor tries to access "http://image1plus.com" she/he is redirected to the "http://www.image1plus.com". This is not surprising as usually "www" and "non-www" address should lead to the same site.

If these are two separate WordPress installs only the "www.image1plus.com" is available to visitors and to our system. The solution here would be a server-side solution and it would mean removing that redirect from "non-www" address to the "www-prefixed" address.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Thanks Adam-

Yes- They are the same site. My problem is I'm trying to get rid of the one in my Hub that's showing it can't be updated. I continue to get messages saying it can't be updated when in fact the www version IS updated. I'm told I need to stay with the www version to be able to use LetsEncrypt and CloudFlare together so I'm trying to eliminate the non-www version. I've enabled support access in case you can do something from your end.

    Thanks,
    Larry

    Hello Larry!

Thank you for your response. Just one more question, if you don't mind

If you try to remove the "non-www" version from The Hub, it doesn't get removed at all or it is removed and then it "automatically" comes back? Or there's no option to remove it?

    Best regards,
    Adam

There is an option to remove the www version and I have done so. Then I tried to remove the non-www version and there is an option to do so but It kept telling me to install the latest version of wpmudev dashbord. However when I tried again just now it DID remove it. I'll keep an eye on it for a few days but it looks like I'm good for now.

    Thanks for your help,
    Larry

    Hello Larry!

Thank you for letting me know. That makes sense. The system keeps periodically checking sites that were registered with it. If it cannot detect the site - or cannot communicate with WPMU DEV Dashboard - it marks that site and informs you via The Hub. It's not a requirement to keep WPMU DEV installed and active though so as long as the site is added to The Hub it will just "nagging" you. If the system cannot connect for a longer time (I"m sorry, I'm not sure how long would that be) and then again sees that the site has been removed from The Hub than it assumes the site was indeed fully removed and removes it from system.

Anyway, I'm glad you were able to remove it and in case that issue occurred again, let me know please.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
