Updating Plugin for WPMUDev dashboard

I recently tried to update the wpmudev dashboard on one of my sites and received the following message:-

Disabling Maintenance mode…

I am somewhat confused as this appears to be the path to a local folder rather than online. In fact I have had a similar problem with other updates for other plugins. I wonder if you can shed any light on this for me.

    Hi there,

    Sounds like something is going on with your local computer. Can you reboot and see how it goes? For the plugins to update, they need to unpack as temporary files. Seems like your computer isn’t happy about that.
