Upfront Builder Problem

Hi,

Suddenly can't edit one layout with Upfront builder. I've granted access to support. Please help take a look. The layout is single-page-9. It uses Tabs element. But now the tab can't switch and its content can't be edited.

I've logged into your site and done a bit of testing. I see the content isn't changing. I can add and remove new tabs, but when I click them, the content does not change.

I've checked for any Javascript errors and there are none. Only notices about Google Maps. Just to eliminate that, I temporarily added a Google Maps API key and that made no change.

In the interest of eliminating any basics, could you please run a plugin conflict test as outlined in the following article? This will eliminate the possibility of a conflict with another plugin. https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/getting-support/

If that does not lead to a solution, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and provide us with the output of your debug.log file?

To enable WP_DEBUG, change the following line in your wp-config.php file:

define('WP_DEBUG', false);

To this:

// Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

After you've visited the pages that are causing you problems, please go to wp-content/ on your server via FTP and download the debug.log file to your local computer. Then, rename that file to debug.txt and attach it to your reply here so we can examine it further.

I've tried disabling all other plugins but WPMU dashboard and upfront, but the problem is still there. Then I enabled WP_DEBUG and the log is attached. Here you go.

I'm afraid the debug log did not come through as an attachment. You have to rename the file to debug.txt for it to attach. Would you please try to attach it again?

I've been looking into this issue and I'm having a difficult time identifying what is causing the problem. Neither the debug.log or the Javascript console are giving any errors that should cause this. I've pinged our SLS team to get their valuable feedback on this issue. An update will be posted as soon as more information is available.

I hope you are well today.

I spoke with our Upfront Dev Team and they've taken a look at your site. They said it looks like you have some foreign HTML in the tabs element that is causing the element to break. This can happen if you past your content from a word processing application, like Microsoft Word or LibreOffice.

How did you add the content to the tab element? Did you copy/paste from an external application?

Yes, that's it. We add some /* ... */ comments in inner html. After those removed, back to function. Thanks. Great job.
