Upfront/Spirit - Getting Rid of Empty White Space beneath the Footer

Greetings! In the First Screenshot you can see that there is a good amount of empty/white space beneath the footer.

This seems to be partly due to the fact that there isn't enough content on certain pages (in this case a product page).

Then there is every other page (see Screenshot 2) that displays a thinner white bar/space at the bottom of the footer. I'm assuming this is due to the default footer setting and mine is slightly thinner?

Would there be any type of CSS to implement here? Or possibly change the default settings to allow for the footer to be fixed per say at the bottom of the page?
