User Purchase, Account, Page and Profile Setup

I need to have people purchase subscriptions ( I have woocommerce) then be able to create an account on my WPMU network,-where they can edit their personal/account info, then create a profile page generated from frontend forms. I want to create individual pages (like facebook) for each user (business) that purchases a membership with me. The page will already be themed and the user just needs to fill in forms and the content will show up on their individual public page.

Thank you! I have tried researching all your plugins and can't quite get it to all come together.

    Hi there @matchmiddleeast

I hope you are well today.

Will they have admin access at all or do you want everything to be done from the front-end? Is there any particular reason your going to be using WooCommerce for the subscriptions? You could use our great https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/pro-sites/ to charge them for creating a site bu enabling the "pay to blog" module in Pro Sites so they can't access their site/blog till they have payed. What other content do you want them to put on their site in the WPMU Network?

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

    Hi Jack,
I invested the time/money into woocommerce and authorize.net and set up my shopping cart etc. before I found your great company! (but I could always abandon that idea if you can make everything easier!)

I want everything to be front-end. I want the user to pay for a membership, create an account on the network, then be directed to a form that they can fill out and the information will then magically appear onto their "site" (Page) ex. http://matchmiddleeast.com/biff. I want my theme to already be on there, but their information generated from a uniform template. I basically want to create an online business card/resume, so the business owners would input their contact info, description of their products and services, and the industry professionals that they want to be matched with. Same thing with the resume- input education, references, languages, experience etc. So, all the pages will look the same (like facebook) but the user can access/edit their information in their account area. From there they can also send out invites, join community forums, view their business matches, and upgrade their membership status etc.

Thanks Jack, I appreciate your help!

    Hi there Brianna (@matchmiddleeast)

Thanks for the additional information, I have had a read over it.
And the plugins that I think would be of use to you would be:

Pro Sites: https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/pro-sites/ This would be to charge the subscription payment to your users each month or 3 monthly or yearly.

    New Blog Templates: https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/new-blog-template/
This will allow you to set up a replica/demo site with the styling you want and theme choice, plugins, settings etc and then using that blog ID, replicate the settings in all newly created sites. It's worth noting that any changes made to the template will reflect on all newly created sites, but won't effect existing sites.

Front-end wise, maybe something like WP user front-end would work for you? http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-user-frontend/ It may need some customization to work exactly how you want.

You'll also most likely from your description want to use BuddyPress: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress/ For all the social features.

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for the quick response. I will try to implement your suggestions to see if that all works together. I'm not sure about this whole multisite business, there seems to be so many problems with it. For example, I can see the page that I was showing you (which I wasn't able to see because of redirecting errors before, until I manipulated the htaccess and index files) but now you can't see it. I read on your site that I may be able to have people buy domain names through my site and I think I am going to try that too.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Hi there Brianna (@matchmiddleeast)

No problem, happy to help, it's worth noting that if you are selling content subscriptions and not actual blogs/sites. Then you'd want to use:

Membership: https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/membership/ to sell subscriptions to access content and BuddyPress for the social aspect.

Also if you want other forms, you could use either Gravity Forms http://www.gravityforms.com/
    Or Formidable http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/formidable/

With regards to the page problem, I still can't see it (your screenshot attachement didn't work). This of course isn't the correct way Multisite works, I'm more than happy to take a look at the issue if you could supply me with the following details:

    - Mark to my attention
    - Link back to this thread
    - Include admin/network access
    - Include FTP (include port number, normally it would be 21, or 22 for SFTP).
    - Include Cpanel where possible.
    - Include any relevant URLS for your site

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/

With selling domains, how did you want to do this, automatic, a more manual process or somewhere in the middle?

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

    Hi Jack,

I replied to the email and put your name in the subject line, I couldn't find how to direct message you..... but I did put all of my network admin and passwords in that email. Please direct me to another way of privately contacting you if you don't receive my email.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jack,

I took your advice and tried to install Pro-Sites..... but everytime I network activate, it gives me a white screen. I can't access the the wp-admin, or anything. I went in and deleted the file from the FTP list, and everything started working again. Tried it a few more times, no luck. I'm so excited to use Pro-Sites instead of woocommerce, but it won't work.

    Thanks Jack!

    Hi there Brianna (@matchmiddleeast)

I hope you are well today.

I've been looking into the problem with the content not being accessible, the problem there is you need to set up access levels for the sub site and in membership > options set the visitor level, as at the moment if the person doesn't have a active subscription you have it set to "None - no access to content"

About the problem with Pro sites, I'm just about to post in your other thread with regards to that.

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards
    Jack.

Jack! My Hero!!!! I was close to giving up on multisite, but thanks to you, all is well! And-I have successfully installed marketpress and prosites so I think that I'm good to go! I am disappointed to learn that I can't use subscriptions in marketpress, but I will use marketpress for another section of my site.

    THANK YOU JACK!!!

    Brianna
