User Sync fails constantly

I keep getting a 520 error each time I try to sync with my subsite. My master site is connected through Cloudflare and it returns the error every single time.

Is there a setup issue with this plugin? I need to sync a little under 600 credentials and so far it gets to around 90 and then crashes.

Be great to get this working asap,

Hi Hash, hope you had a wonderful day.

I tried to sync but I could not regenerate the issue on my test site. Users were synced without any problem in my test sites. So this is your site specific issue. I could tell you better about the issue if I could see it live, check your current configuration and make some tests on your site. Can you please try disabling Cloudflare CDN and try again? If that doesn't work, would you mind allowing Support Access so we can have a closer look at this?

To enable support access you can follow this guide here:

Most probably this is happening for Cloudflare, you can read this article to get more idea:

    Have a nice day. Cheers!

    Hi Rupok,

Have switched off Cloudflare and now get a timeout error: Request Timeout

This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase 'Connection Timeout'.

What is the plugin trying to do that would timeout the server? I have full access to this server so can make any changes required. Let me know how I can mitigate this response so I can start using the plugin properly. I have already increased the connection timeout to 600 so it should have plenty of resource to allow the sync.

How much time does the plugin normally take to sync?

    I have al

    Hi Hash,

Hope you are doing good today.

In general, timeout could happen, if you have large numbers of users to sync, this depends entirely upon your max_execution_time having a low value, defined in your php settings. The plugin by design doesn't impose any timeout limit, and makes use of the values defined in max_execution_time, there could be some ajax timeout, which I can only be sure about, if I could check your website, and it's configuration.

Did increasing the timeout to 600 made any difference? If it didn't work, this might be a plugin conflict, could you please run a quick plugin/theme conflict test as illustrated in getting support manual (flowchart), and rule out any plugin causing any conflict.

If you still have issues, please enable support access, so that we could give a closer look. You can grant access from WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access or see this manual.

Please let us know once you enable access, so that we could get this sorted asap, have a nice day.
